About Me
Hi — people from the Internet. I am Abdullah Al Harbi. I am currently a Data Engineer & AI Engineer based in Saudi Arabia. My work focuses on building scalable data infrastructure and AI-powered solutions. Previously, I've worked on ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and deploying machine learning models to production.
I believe that the path to more capable AI systems lies in solid data foundations — reliable pipelines, clean architectures, and scalable infrastructure. My work pursues this direction through two interconnected themes: 1. building robust data systems that power analytics and ML; and 2. deploying machine learning models that deliver real business value.
- Data Engineering: I design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and lakehouses using modern tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark, and cloud-native services. My work emphasizes data quality, observability, and scalability.
- AI/ML Engineering: I develop and deploy machine learning models, from experimentation to production-ready systems with proper monitoring and MLOps practices. I work with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and modern LLM tooling like LangChain.
Additionally, I am a strong advocate for clean code and maintainable systems, for which I actively contribute to open-source projects on my GitHub.
Apart from work, I especially enjoy staying current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape. I'm passionate about exploring new frameworks, contributing to open source, and experimenting with emerging technologies like LLMs and generative AI. I also value clean, minimal design principles and believe in building systems that are not just functional, but elegant and maintainable.
